JAM SESSIONS 2019-02-14T03:57:39+00:00

B’Town Jazz sponsors an educational Jazz Jam series early in the year, open to students of all ages, levels, and instruments, particularly middle and high school students.

There is no charge and each jam session features a different guest educator.  No signups are needed; just show up with your instrument on as many weeks as you are able to learn, practice, and experience performing in a club-type atmosphere! A rhythm section will be provided.

Regular attendees will be able to participate in the Future of Jazz Concert, Mar. 31 and may be chosen for a partial scholarship to the Aebersold Summer Jazz Workshop (which is apparently happening again in summer 2019)!

Dates:  Sundays  –  Feb. 10 – Mar. 24 (except Mar. 10 and 17).

Times:  4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Location: Crazy Horse (214 W Kirkwood)

Culminating Future of Jazz concert: Mar. 31

Clinicians:  Feb 10 – Tom Clark,  Feb 17 – Jamey Aebersold,  others – TBD

If you need more information, contact your school’s band instructor or email info@btownjazz.org.
